January 1996: Jerry and Ulli Lillard & family came to the Czech Republic.
"We knew that the Lord wanted us not to start anything for two years. We helped another work for the first year. Then we knew that this was not why we were here. We began to attend the International Church of Prague for English speakers. While attending there we waited on the Lord. We had regular prayer meetings with other missionaries to pray for this city and to find the will of the Lord for us. We continued to build relationships in and out of Prague." July 1997: Jerry and Ulli began a house meeting for those that needed a new beginning and strengthening.
"It's funny - we did not begin with the intention to start a church!" November 1997: Jerry and Ulli:
"We felt that the Lord was once again stirring our hearts to pastor. We saw the need for a family church. We knew that we could not start anything before the end of January 1998, so we waited and prayed and shared with those that were in our house meeting what we were planning to do. We stopped the home meeting and asked all that were attending to pray and ask God what he would have them do. A few came to us from the beginning and shared that they felt they were to be part of this new start." February 8th 1998: We had our first gathering in Jerry and Ulli's living room. 15 people were there including a couple of guests from Germany.
March 22nd: The new church moved into the Fausthaus, Prague.
December 13th 1998: We moved to Cerna street, in the Theological Seminary.
August 1st 1999: We moved to the Skelet Theater.
January 13th 2000: We were located at the Akcent Theater.
March 2002: We moved to the Adventist church at Londynska 30.
January 2004: We moved to the "Culture House Zahrada" in Chodov, Prague.
October 16th 2005: After a few months of intense renovation, we started meeting in our new "Vysocanska Life Center" location, right next to " Vysočanská" Prague metro station.
October 17th 2011: After a few weeks of renovation, we will have our first meeting in our new church building, a couple of tram stops down from our current Vysocanska Life Center. The new place is bigger and above ground - we can't wait!
